FIELD TRIP.
Saturday, February 6, 2010 @ 3:52 PM

That picture right there is a glimpse of Mount Samat in Bataan. Before I skip to that part, I`d answer your question: What does this have to do with anything?

Well, it was my field trip last week (Feb 5). And it was awesome.

Well, our household helper woke me up, saying, "Uy, 5:30 na!" I was like, WEHH, TIGNAN MO, O. 4:00 PA LANG. The argument between us was pretty long, so I decided to take a bath instead.

My dad usually brings me to my field trips. However, I don`t know why my mom came along with us that chilly morning. They just came to drop me off.

When we arrived there, I was a bit confused. "Which bus was mine?" I wasn`t comfortable going around awkwardly looking for my bus, because I might overlook Bus 6 (Lila), but I had to. I gave my farewells to my parents and looked for my bus. Suddenly, I remembered the time when it was my grade 4 field trip. I went on the wrong bus, actually! My section was Masinop, and when I went up the bus, I saw people dressed in red. I was in Mapagmahal`s bus! I left right away. Ah, memories. But it didn`t happen yesterday.

Our first stop was a public school in Lubao, Pampanga. We had to read a story to them. We had to take care of first graders, and most first grader's stories have both Filipino translations and English translations. However, I didn`t bring one with both translations. I brought my favorite book when I was little: The Pied Piper of Hamelin. I spent 5 minutes reading them the story until the ending. And then they told me they didn`t understand English. I don`t blame them, but it`s just that they`re very shy! I always wondered if I was THAT quiet when I was in grade 1. So I took the risk of translating it to tagalog. I was horrible. I didn`t know the tagalog translations of some words like, "pipe" and "followed". I know, I suck. I made it though anyway and got at least one student understand the story. The other one was probably just focused on the pictures, I can`t force her to concentrate on the story.

We left the school, eventually. And headed for Mount Samat.
It was a fun ride up there, even though one of our classmates was getting a bit nauseous at the back.
Before climbing up the mountain, we ate lunch at the bus. I only ate half a sandwich. My lunch was tuna sandwich. And the people in my house know I like it with lettuce. But I guess the lettuce turned black already, so I decided not to eat it, to be safe.
After lunch, we went up the mountain. It turns out our field trip was the same time and venue as another school. I believe it was San Augustin College or something similar.
We went hiking up the 14 or so flight of stairs. It was fun the way there! It`s so amusing to see the heights and some other MC students way back down at the bottom.
Our stayed at the top for 30 minutes or 1 hour. I had the best time ever there. There were a couple of big boulders of rocks there and we could sit there. I miss that rock, though. We took loads of photos there. We were just talking about random stuff there and Kuya Jay/J (our tour guide) shared with some volleyball strategies for our Intrams the following week.

It was unfortunately time for us to go back down. We just wanted to stay there! But we couldn`t. It was seriously time to hike down. It was so funny the way down. Because I overheard Sherrie and Chamille pretending to be tour guides. Sherrie said, "If you look to your right, it is the opposite of your left!"
When we got back down, we went to a museum. At first, I thought it would be very fun. But I realized that the museum was about a war or something here in the Philippines before. And mark my words: I almost failed in AP when we were learning about history including a few world wars and a few personal wars.

It was a total soundtrip during the trip back to Manila. We listened to Justin Bieber and Ke$ha songs, but I do not know why we didn`t watch any other dvd. I kind of fell asleep when Justin songs played, then I woke up feeling half deaf. I don`t know why, though.
You know the song, 'One Time'? Well, if you don`t you should. JK. But when it played, I was singing it, though I seriously hate the song already.
When we had our pit stop SOMEWHERE (idk where it was), I guess I could hear perfectly again. I really needed to go to the bathroom, since the bathroom in Mount Samat needed 3 pesos (oh, i`m so stupid I didn`t accept the money my mom offered to me that morning). But at least I could go already at that time. After that, instead of running, we just walked. I waited for Liana while she bought a shake. Some other people bought Ice Cream, floats, etc. I am so jealous. ~_~ I COULD HAVE MONEY, BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOO. I HAD TO RELY ON MYSELF, BUT I FORGOT I MADE WRONG DECISIONS. lol.
Anyway, after the pit stop, we still kept listening to Ke$ha and JB songs. We kind of played with Liana`s Magic Love Ball. We kept on asking random mushy questions about everyone in our class. We kept saying, "OMG." "Wooooooaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh" "hahahaha!".

We arrived back in MC around 5:30. It said in the guide given to us before the Field Trip that we were supposed to arrive at 6. I didn`t argue though. I wasn`t comfortable with Nikki and Liana at first. When they both left, I NEEDED someone to be with. I`m still paranoid with the scary Miriam stories my friend has experienced already.
So I decided to go with Steffi and Ann. Then Anaya joined us. I`m really happy I`m with them. They`re practically the only people I seriously trust with my life. Well, I`m not SUPER close with Steffi, though I know a lot about her just by chatting with her before. They said, while I was all fun all day, they weren`t having the best time of their lives, exactly. They said Miss Luque was KJ, but then again, it`s their opinions.
Sam joins in. When she was about to tell a story, I saw my brother going near the gate to fetch me.

That night, 5 minutes after eating, I fell asleep without even changing. I slept with my jogging pants and PE shirt. =))

It`s the long weekend once again. The time when laziness is all around and homework seldom comes into our minds. We had no classes yesterday, since it was the PTC.

I got my report card. I`m sure it wasn`t so low, but I`m certain that other people in the class got higher than me. Most of my grades were O (90-94/95), while I got VS (85/84-89) in Language and AP/Hekasi/Sibika/Whatever you call it, and O* (95/96-100) in CLE.

I was surprised to see that I got a VS in Language. Okay, fine, I wasn`t THAT surprised. I kind of did not give whole-hearted effort on Language, because I thought it would just be easy, like all the quarters in Language I had been through. Maybe it`s because of my writing skills? One of the topics I hate during Language is essay-making. By looking at my blog posts, it`s easy to tell that I don`t have the most perfect grammar. It also brings back during the third quarter writing exam. It was hard for me. The directions was to write a descriptive essay about my traditional Christmas celebration. It was really difficult to make that! Every year is something different. I couldn`t possibly fit everything into the essay in 40 minutes. I just gave in and thought, "oh well, I`m sure my score wouldn`t be THAT bad" so I just did not give that much effort on the essay. Guess what? My score WAS that bad. I got -7. I kind of just laughed it off instead.

Then, some of my classmates came over to play Guitar Hero work on the computer project. The project is to make an advertisement about the result of our Investigatory Project we did in Science.

I really loved this project. It`s one project I could possibly show my talents at. My only talent is making graphics. Miss Bamba mentioned that we can use Photoshop for most of its contents, but make the advertisement itself at MS Publisher.

If my group`s project is good enough to reach the competition between all the other sections, we would get a certificate for having the best work in the section. If we win among the whole batch, we would get medals. I never actually received a medal or a certificate besides the ones I received being an honor student. I wish I could get a medal someday. One of my dreams is to receive a medal before I graduate grade school.

We actually didn`t do much. We just ordered food, watched Scary Movie, played Guitar Hero, laughed endlessly at each other and played some more Guitar Hero. We`re actually pretty done, but it needs more improvement.

I still need to do some things over the long weekend like accomplish the dreaded concept paper that everyone, I mean, most people hate, study AP and CLE and some more stuff. I don`t even know how I got trapped into doing this blog entry. O_O xD
Wish me luck. Hopefully.

Whoa, whoa.

SATURDAY
Okay, I was supposed to go to the Mariya play. But then, there were no more tickets the days before the show. So, I went just in case, hopefully, there were still tickets. I came in a dress, because I thought Andi said she would. Why didn`t I use my common sense? She just sprained her foot (long story) and WHY would she be in a dress? O_O Almost everyone came in jeans and top. I thought I couldn`t because it was mentioned that we have to "wear decent clothing." I thought decent meant formal, but I got the wrong message.
Actually, this is how it went: I went to the College building and my mom came with me to the entrance. There was a long line, and it was a bit awkward seeing me with my mom since I knew most of them. But, somehow, I didn`t have a problem with it. I mean, I HAVE A REASON WHY SHE IS THERE. She was supposed to go to the guard to ask for information about additional tickets. Then, I heard, "JANA!" I was like, Okay, I KNOW that voice. Who is that aga-- Oh yeah, Cathy. So I turned to my right and saw a bunch of Lila people there. I wish I was with them.
My mom told me that the guard said that they will check if there are additional seats when everybody settled in. I doubted that there will be extra seats, though. So I just decided to go with my mom to Eastwood. My shoes were killing me, though.

SUNDAY
Watched the Tooth Fairy. It was awesome, and of course, funny. Dwayne Johnson (sp?) rocks. :D (Literally. He`s known as The Rock in wrestling talk.)

MONDAY
I was, as usual, BV. Well, until lunch. Someone actually sat and talked with me during lunch. From that time, I was put in good vibe mode all the way.

TUESDAY -- I MEAN, TODAY.
Last night, I fell asleep while fixing my supplies for school. I woke up 5am to fix my stuff. I had nothing else to do, so I decided it would be productive to take a bath early so that I could read a book and listen to music before I get to school.
-- But then I realized I lost my money. I had around 120 left from yesterday. I`m supposed to use it until Wednesday/Friday.
But anyway, I was GV the whole day.
Plus, I found my 120 pesos just now. It was just crammed up inside my planner. =))

We also had our second practice game. But with the same section: Luntian. I don`t know why, but I know a lot of things that go on with their section. Definitely our sister section. :D
During the first game last week, we won. Now, with them knowing our strategies, it`s different.
We applied the same rules: Nobody should sit, and don`t chant 'Go Lila, Go Lila, Go!' when we take our turn to serve.
However, we lost. Alexa thought it was her fault. But we should remember that this is a practice game. At walang sisihan if we want teamwork in our class. Like what Miss Magno said, we should learn from our loss.
Some people in our class realized that, in the first game, Sir Torralba was watching our game. A while ago, he wasn`t there. Or at least, no one saw him pass by or anything. So, practically, a presence of a homeroom teacher is like a good luck charm for his or her students.

At the end, we prayed. We heard Luntian chant, "Go Lila, Go Lila, Go!" to us.
Green green green green green... - Tune of Shots. That was what we chanted afterwards.

Finally, it`s Saturday! Time to relax, especially since I have no major homework. Oh, I just realized I do. :|

Anyway, yesterday, after school, Liana, Aya and Lauren rode with me to my house to do the Investigatory Project. We`re so late, it`s past the deadline already, actually!
So, yeah. At first we were quiet, then we got so bored waiting for Alexa and Jaira that we just used the laptop and talked about people.

Then, Alexa arrived at my place. It turns out she passed by Starbucks and bought us drinks! Vanilla frappuccino. From there, we started doing our project little by little.
Then, Alexa got a text from Jaira. It said, "Dude, sorry but I can`t make it. But it`s proven that ......." I can`t really say the rest of the message. O_O I don`t know why, but every one of us was happy that she didn`t go.

Okay, so, we didn`t do much. A lot of scaring and laughing and accidents (Lauren kicked something so the soil fell on my bedroom floor) and it was fun. I`m not close with them (I`m only close with Liana) yet the Friday night with them was awesome. :-bd
Then when Lauren and Aya were left, we decided to order 8-MCDO. At first, I called. It was my first time to order, so in the middle of the conversation with the order-making guy (lol) I put the phone down. Then I made Aya do it. =)) They said it`ll still take an hour. But they both left in the span of that hour so the extra burgers went to me and my bro. lol.

Working on a project never seemed awesome.

The Family Day was awesome!

Okay, so, I was waken up by my dad saying that it`s already 9am and I should already take a bath. But first, I had to wake up my brothers. I went to the third floor, and saw that my big brother wasn`t there. I went to the first floor to find out he was sick, so I had to go back upstairs to the third floor to wake my little brother up. It was so tiring running up and down the stairs.

So, my family left going to Miriam (well, almost), and went to Chowking first to get siomai (actually, I was supposed to bring barbecue) to contribute to the potluck. And after that, I ate breakfast in Starbucks.
When I arrived in the Chapel Covered Court, I was hugged by Andi as I was getting the siomai from my mom. I placed the food on the table and started eating as well. Andi was telling me that I missed the teacher's presentation. I was like, WTFOHNO. THATWASONEMAINREASONWHYIEVENWANTEDTOGO. OMGNO. But one of my classmates caught it on video and posted it on Facebook, so at least I got to see their presentation.
After eating, it was time for the games and presentations. The first presentees were the people assigned to the group dancing to the tune 'Down' by Jay Sean. I`ve seen their performance for the nth time already, so I just didn`t actually bother to watch that much anymore. The first game was next. It is really complicated to explain. It had something to do with running and jobs. All I know is that my mom joined. Good thing she was wearing comfy shoes. It was the students versus the parents. Surprisingly, the parents won. in a game of running. where children are better at running. The world sure is stirred up.
The second performance was the group assigned to dance 'Shake Your Body' by Michael Jackson. Also, I`ve watched it so many times as well, so I agreed to go with my mom to the bathroom. When we came back, they were playing 'Hep Hep Horray.' Most people are already familiar with that, since it came from the popular show, Wowowee. They stopped the game and gave prizes when 5-8 people were left.
The third game was 'Bring Me', which I find amusing for no reason at all. One bring me was Ms. Guerrero. So some of us still went to 6-Kahel`s venue to get her. We gave her prizes as well.
Then, we had the last presentation. We were supposed to sing Glowing Inside by Nikki Gil. I don`t know where my position was, because some people didn`t memorize the chorus so they share a piece of paper and it`s kind of messy. I forgot what Aya`s complain was. Andi`s complain was that her voice was cracked and she lost her lyric sheet. Aya, Andi and I just agreed to stay at the back and wave our hands. You know, the gesture people do when usually singing a sad or victory song altogether. ((: After a while, Alyssa stopped singing and joined the three of us at the back. lol.
The souvenirs were distributed after that. I totally love it. One souvenir that was given was something like a stuffed toy but is also a cellphone holder. It`s too cute. Part of the souvenir package was also the bag that has the Dance Six on Remix graphic printed on it.

Well, very little happened. But for me, it was awesome. (lol. everything is awesome for me.) Usually, and supposedly, we always held a big family day in a big venue including all the sections. But different sections in different places? Awesome sauce. (Plus, it was quiet at school. I have no idea why I like quiet MC.)

The time of New Year really makes me happy. It`s the time to make a change. I like change - good change, that is.
I decided to (hopefully) change the ugly, clumsy, and depressed me into a little more carefree, a little more confident, and a pinch of more happiness on me this year.

MY NEW YEAR`S RESOLUTIONS.
1. Recite more often (which is surprisingly difficult for me to do)
2. Turn off the computer while studying (which is a good time, because my computer had just broken. in case you`re wondering, i`m using my brother`s computer.)
3. Don`t be lazy.
4. Take more pictures of 6-Lila and 7-_________.
5. Be neater.
6. Have an all-time idol and admire him/her.
7. Stick to my study schedule.
8. Sleep earlier. (SERIOUSLY. I will start sleeping earlier on January 1.)
9. Focus!!!!!!!!! (My attention`s not cooperating with me most of the time.)
10. Don`t be afraid to reach for desired dreams.
11. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
12. Smile a little more. (BUT, NO. I WILL NOT CHANGE MY LAYOUT INTO A YELLOW-ISH SUNFLOWER THEME. I JUST MADE THE CURRENT ONE. D< )

I like the last two ones. I need to smile to be happier and I need the faith so bad.
BTW. NOTE TO SELF: STILL BE IMMATURE DESPITE ALL THESE.

Christmas `09.
Monday, December 28, 2009 @ 10:41 PM
Hello! Christmas went well and everything hasn`t faded away my head just yet. I`m sure my Christmas isn`t over yet.

On Christmas eve, we went to Simbang Gabi. The entrance was just mindblowing. There were children younger than me and a few just about my age that were part of the entrance. I saw one person who I`m familiar with. I never met her, but I`m certain she`s in my batch. I think she`s from Kahel?
After attending the one hour mass, we dropped by Starbucks, then we headed home. It took a while for my mom to prepare Noche Buena so my brothers, dad and I just stayed in the chilly third floor balcony doing random things.
When the food was ready, we went downstairs to the first floor. The food was yummy. We had lasagna and bread. Yes, just a meal that simple became our Noche Buena.
Next, we waited for a couple of moments and my mom and Kuya went downstairs with shopping bags on their hands. Inside them were our gifts. We sorted them out first before we opened them.
For some weird reason, our television was tuned in GMA 7. I think it was because my dad was watching TV.
I only got around four or five gifts. Even though it was few, they were worth so much that I could never trade them in for anything!
Some of my favorite gifts I received were shirts, an original LeSportsac bag and a hamburger speaker. The favorite shirts I got were the two Knoller shirts from the Perfect White Shirt. It came from my mom and dad. My mom knew that I wanted one badly. So (deep down inside me,) I super appreciate my mom`s trouble into finding the shop where they sell them. When I grow up, I`m sure to go as far as I can to get my mom something she wants as bad as I wanted the shirts.

Then came Christmas day.
My relatives from my mom`s side came over, as usual. Most of my family members were seated outside in the decent dining room that is reserved for guests only, while my little brother and I were stuck inside the usual everyday dining room. We ate barbecue with rice, and I ate a little bit of liempo too. It was undoubtfully delicious.
I got the usual gifts that day: Blouse, a journal, and money. I also got a planner, although I`d still be using it for 2011. I already have a 2010 planner (All Hail, Starbucks.)
For dinner, it was the same. My little brother and I had to stay in the usual dining room. We ate Mac and Cheese. I love it.
After that, I just stayed in my room, quietly using my beloved (lol) computer, alone, because it was too boring downstairs. I didn`t bother to say goodbye to my relatives, and I don`t know why.

Last night (December 28), my mom came home with a loot of gifts. I got a cap and a shirt that makes me look American.

Despite these, my Christmas isn`t over yet. I`m waiting for someone to come along. Actually, not only someone, but a bunch of people.
The friends I`ve had ever since. I hope they come along. If they do, I`ll keep this updated. c;
(to be honest, I didn`t feel the Christmas spirit this year. I`m still hoping for them ^ to visit so that my Christmas would be complete.)
